Best Men's Electric Shavers

Overview:

The Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men’s Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver, with advance technology is manufactured for the pleasure of a shave. It is designed to make the shave more comfortable and easy. The product can be used for both wet and dry shaves. The device has 4 blades, is made of stainless steel foil and has a turbo cleaning approach.

Good:

The Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men’s Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver offers an incredible shave after one simple stroke over the skin. The four cutting blades and foil increases the shave area by up to 32 percent. The shaver provides a faster shave. The large surface area of the razor covers the most part of the facial surface, providing an even and efficient shave. There will be no irritation during the shave as the pressure is managed equally across the skin. The fourth blade provides an additional shave and cuts the all small hairs gently, increasing the performance of the shaver.
Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men’s Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver works at the speed of 13,000 revolutions per minute, even when shaving large quantities of thick hair. The level of the shave is 8,000 to 10,000 rpm. The razor allows users to have a dry shave, or use gels or creams, depending on their preferences. The foils help in gentle shave. The battery has a warning sign which lets the user know when the battery is running low. The device also comes in a small and compact travel case.

Bad:

The Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men’s Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver can easily slip due to the smoothness of the skin after shaving. A slip could cause damage to the skin. Also, the high level of the deviceĀ  can increase the skin sensitivity and may damage the skin.

Bottom Line:

Although this device can sometimes cause some slight irritation to the skin, it operates at a high level, providing the user with a smooth and fast shave. It is convenient due to it’s wet/dry feature and each swipe covers a large facial area. The benefits of the product far outweigh the drawbacks.

“I put it up against my Gillette Fusion Proglide and … First some setup, I’m mid 50′s, white, Scandinavian type, takes me 3 weeks to grow a complete, full beard. I started my shaving life with a Norelco rotary, I shaved dry before I showered (I didn’t know better) and then 15 years later moved to an Eltron Universal and then after a couple more years switched to a dual blade manual. From there it was 24 more years of manuals moving up the line to the 5 blade Fusion. I wanted to try an electric again purely for the days I needed to shave dry. Some mornings I go out kayaking or surfing and the stubble on my neck gets irritated by my wetsuit or paddle jacket if I haven’t shaved or if I didn’t shower before shaving. The neck hairs are mostly why I stopped shaving with an electric because it left too many. I’ve now got 10 days of use on the Panasonic. My very first impression was that it did the job but wasn’t as close as I was use to. That thought persisted over the next few days as I shaved in the shower using my usual Neutrogena shave cream to ease my way thru the break-in period. BTW, no skin irritation so far. I also thought that by 5 pm I had more stubble. BUT, then after a week I shaved half my face and neck with the Fusion, and half with the Pani. I was surprised, the Pani shaved closer and by the next day I had less stubble. The difference was minor but even my wife felt it. A few days later I repeated the test but switched halves to be fair and while still in the shower I could feel the Pani side was smoother. The morning after my wife once again picked the Pani side. Also, I’ve done a dry shave using a Remington FaceSaver stick and still no skin irritation from the shaver or paddling jacket. I’m loving this whole rinse with water cleaning process. No more cleaning mess with those darn little brushes. I opted not to get the cleaning station because I really didn’t believe this was going to be a daily shaver, but now that it is I still don’t have any regrets because of the simplicity of this cleaning process. I also think this model will be more travel worthy. The sideburn trimmer seems okay but I already own a Wahl beard trimmer so its not a concern for me. Recharge time is quick! At first I also thought the unit was a bit bulky but I’ve easily adjusted and the rubbery grip is secure in the shower (BTW, those shaves are without the water running). Lastly a few words on neck hairs, mine grow in many different directions and I’ve never gotten a perfectly smooth shave with anything. That said, this is as good as a manual for me.”

“Been using a Remington MS2-390 and the screen went bad. Rather than buy a screen and blades I usually get new. The Remingtons have always given me a close and fast shave but have often been difficult to clean, the blades fall off, sometimes getting dinged. I’ve had Brauns in the past but eventually figured out that they don’t shave near as close or fast. Accordingly I researched razors and this one has excellent reviews. I can see why, it shaves as close and fast as a Remington without the noise and easy to clean. The first day I shaved 1/2 of my face with the Remington and the other 1/2 with the Panasonic and couldn’t tell the difference in speed or closeness. The Panasonice ArcIV is as quiet as a Braun, which isn’t critical to me but nice and gives a fast, close shave. It’s also comfortable to hold securely and holds a charge good for 7-10 shaves. Probably the best shaver I’ve ever used.

To clean it you wet the head, rub a drop of soap on the screens with your finger, hold ON for a couple seconds and it goes to Turbo mode, let it run for 10 seconds and then rinse for about 10 seconds. Clean as a whistle! This thing operates at a very high speed, turbo is even higher and they say that’s why it cleans so well and easy. Very cool.

The only thing that I dislike a bit is that it won’t run while charging so if you accidentally run it all the way down and aren’t finished you need to wait a few minutes for it to get a quick charge so that you can finish.”

“I’ve been living with several Norelco’s and Remingtons as well as conventional blade razors for many years. After reading so many positive reviews of the Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano, I decided to give it a try. Wow! Why did I wait so long to try a different brand? My shaves are quick and really clean, just like I shaved with a blade. Amazing, and satisfying. I’m enjoying shaving again.”
